The mechanical properties of titanium and its alloys during tensile, impact, biaxial tensile tests are considered, as well as the influence of the test temperature on these characteristics. Considerable attention is paid to cyclic strength, thermal stability, salt corrosion, delayed brittle fracture, fracture toughness. Influence of impurities, in particular hydrogen, on mechanical properties of titanium and its alloys is considered in detail. The effect of technological factors on the service properties of titanium alloys is described, methods of increasing the performance of alloys in real structures are considered.
