The manual is devoted to a new direction in applied linguistics, in which methods are developed that allow analyzing the content of the text, determining what is said and what is meant, as well as presenting it in an explicit (explicit) form. Examples of the analysis of phenomena of language and speech, which become the subject of controversy in the courts and thus important for the examination of media texts, are analyzed. Commonly used techniques for manipulating consciousness are analyzed and discussed. The book is illustrated with language material based on a file of examinations on cases of protecting honor and dignity, inciting ethnic hatred, insults, on cases in the field of trademarks and patent science. The examinations that caused a wide public outcry are analyzed in detail (the Bayan Shiryanov case and the Aroyan v. Kirkorov case).
