The ancient Greek philosopher Socrates, like Confucius, did not leave his works. But his students, Plato and Xenophon, in the form of dialogues and small stories conveyed to us the philosophical views of Socrates. Thanks to this, we know what Socrates taught, what were his main life values, what problems of being occupied with him. For the first time, one collection contains the statements of a wise philosopher who still has a lot to learn from the reader today. True, sometimes in the texts of Plato Socrates says one thing, but in the texts of Xenophon, on the same issue, it is completely different, as if it contradicts itself. This is caused by the memory and interpretation of the teacher's thoughts by his equally famous students. But it is all the more interesting to follow the chain of considerations of Socrates and draw your own conclusions. The collection is logically supplemented by biographical notes about the philosopher Diogenes of Laertes, who briefly describes the life of Socrates and talks about his tragic death.
