The work of the authors of the Frunze Military Academy "Development of the tactics of the Soviet Army during the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945)" covers only the main issues of the development of tactics of combined arms offensive and defensive combat. The study is based on an analysis of specific historical material, mainly numerous examples of combat operations of rifle divisions and corps taken from the Archive of the Ministry of Defense.
