70 years separate us from the event that went down in the history of the Armed Forces of our Fatherland as a brilliant victory at Khalkhin Gol. On August 23, 1939, the Red Army troops, together with the Mongolian soldiers, brilliantly completed the largest operation for that time, which led to the encirclement of the 6th Japanese Army.
