Crimean earthquakes in 1927 happened twice: the first, which did not cause much destruction, on June 26 and the second, which caused huge destruction and even casualties, on the night of September 12, 1927. The focus of the September earthquake was located under the seabed, south of Yalta, and was stretched along the coast, from Gurzuf to Sevastopol. The tremors were accompanied by flares over the sea, which is probably justified by the release of hydrogen.
