8-15 km west of the city of Surgut, Tyumen Region, is the tract Barsova Gora. This picturesque place has been attracting the interest of scientists, local historians, tourists for many years. It is located on the high right bank of the Ob River, between the Bartsevka and Kalinka rivers, stretching 8.5 km. The first people appeared here, probably no later than V thousand BC. e., and most likely even earlier. The reasons that prompted them to settle in these places are quite explainable by their favorable geographical position and the magnificent possibilities of local nature.
