This book, published in Geneva in 1903, is number 24 in the Library of the Russian Proletarian series of 43 issues published in 1902-1904 by the Social Democratic organization Life. The book is a collection of documents and includes programs, manifestos and articles relating to the Russian revolutionary movement in 1862-1902. Among the documents presented in the book are the declaration "Young Russia," published in 1862, articles from "Earth and Freedom" - the press organ of the populist society, published in 1878-1879, as well as articles from the revolutionary journal "People's Business," published in 1868-1870. The collection includes essays by such influential revolutionary thinkers as M. A. Bakunin (1814-1876) and P. A. Kropotkin (1842-1921).
