The monograph examines the extrajudicial powers of state security agencies from 1918 to 1953, delegated to them by the highest legislative bodies of the state. In addition to the history of extrajudicial powers of the Cheka - OGPU - NKVD - MGB bodies, the monograph provides statistical information on the activities of security agencies for the study period.
