The collection includes fairy tales stored in the manuscript fund of the Institute of History, Language and Literature, as well as some previously published fairy tales. The publication includes tales of Avars, Dargins, Kumyks, Lezgins, varnishes, Tats, Tabasarans and Nogais, as well as unwritten peoples of Dagestan - Tsakhurs, Rutulians and Andians.
