The album presents a significant event of the modern era - the International Construction and Art Exhibition. It took place in the spring of 1908 at the initiative of the Society of Civil Engineers in St. Petersburg, becoming the first of such events in international practice. It was attended by the Russian Empire (the Kingdom of Poland Finland had separate pavilions at the exhibition), Austria, England, Germany, Denmark, USA, France, Sweden, whose companies actively worked in the domestic market. The high level of the exhibition was emphasized by the participation in it of the Ministries of the Imperial Court, Trade and Industry, Railways, St. Petersburg City Public Administration and other central organizations, as well as trade and industrial firms.
