The book "Narrative of Russia" is the main work of Nikolai Sergeevich Artsybashev, a Russian historian, a member of the "Free Society of Lovers of Literature, Sciences and Arts." During the years 1838-1843. three volumes of the "Narrative" were printed under the main supervision of Pogodin. Since Artsybashev continued to work on his work, by the time of his death the "Narrative" was brought almost to the middle of the 18th century. The printed volumes included the history of Russia only until 1698.
