Carla Sanders is assigned a temporary and "fear assignment and " at Rivard Research, a research facility deep in the bayou. Carla is deathly afraid of snakes, and the facilty is studying king cobra venom for use as a MS cure. She meets sexy but difficult researcher Jackson Rivard and the sparks fly. Carla must overcome her fear of snakes and sign Rivard Research as a client for her management consulting firm in order to get a promotion and a job in Paris.
