The collection contains articles on the medieval history of the peoples of southern Siberia, the Far East, as well as Central and East Asia. Their plots are distinguished by a certain variety. The publications cover a significant period of time exceeding a millennium, and relate to various problems of the history and culture of ancient Japan, the Hunnu state, the Bohai state, the Uyghur and Kyrgyz Khaganates, the Western Xia, Liao, Jin, Yuan, Ming and early Mongols.
