The book discusses the methodological and theoretical problems of historical and psychological knowledge, considered in the context of the laws of science and the humanitarian paradigm. The focus is on the ontological analysis of the subject of the history of psychology, the conceptualization of its object. A broader understanding of the subject area of ​ ​ the history of psychology is substantiated, which, along with the study of the development of scientific psychological ideas, also includes psychological knowledge developed in various non-scientific areas of social thought.
