Ecloga (Latin: Ecloga Basilicorum). It was an abbreviated compilation sample from the codification of Emperor Justinian (known as Corpus juris civilis), as well as subsequent acts of the Byzantine emperors, in order to make legislation more accessible to the population. The collection of laws of Eclogi was very popular in Slavic countries, so it influenced some legislative monuments of Slavic peoples. Some provisions of the Eclogue were used in the proceedings of Ancient Russia of the X-XI centuries.
