The monograph presents the results of the study of woody plants in the Penza region. It examines the history of dendrological research in the region, gives a description of forest vegetation and specially protected natural areas. A list of species of woody plants in the region is given with brief descriptions of morphological characters, features of their biology and adaptation to the conditions of the region.
