In domestic dendrological publications, the book of A.A. Kachalova occupies a special place. In addition to information about trees and shrubs, wild and cultivated in the USSR, it contains information about the most important species of trees and shrubs of the world dendroflora. More than 3000 species of trees and shrubs used in the national economy (construction, mechanical and chemical production, textile, paint and varnish and other industries, medicine, perfumery, green construction, etc.) are given. For greater convenience, the reference book contains an object index of useful properties of trees and shrubs, as well as alphabetical indexes of Russian and Latin plant names.
