The monograph on the materials of archaeological, written and folklore sources reconstructs the economic and ethnocultural ties of a large region of Russia - the Urals in the 9th-14th centuries AD. A huge role in the development of these ties was played by the Kama Trade Route, a kind of continuation of the Great Volga Route, which contributed to the inclusion of the Urals in the international trade system of the Middle Ages.
