The work on the basis of archaeological materials, information from eastern written sources and using special literature on the topic, works of art, epigraphic monuments, as well as toponymic, linguistic and folklore material highlights the key problems of ancient and medieval history and culture of one of the earliest state (political) formations of Dagestan - Zirikhgeran and its center of the Kuban, which played an important role in the economic, political and cultural life of the Northeast Caucasus.
