'Five Lives at Harvard' records the findings of the Harvard School Study, a longitudinal project directed by Dr. King in the late 1960s which followed some five hundred undergraduates through four years of college. Five representative case histories are abstracted here to illustrate the major personality variables on which growth in adaptive capacity is based. They have been taken from the more than fifty detailed case histories collected in the project.
