He never seen a slave and he was shocked at the way they were being treated. He soon realized he was fighting for the wrong side and he made up his mind that he was going to desert the first chance he got. Jasmine was born a slave in the deep south. She was a beautiful, black woman and suffered a lot of abuse because of her looks. Her dream and desire was to escape and head north to Ohio and freedom.
