The book includes two works by the French philosopher, psychologist, culturologist Vladimir Yankelevich (1903-1985). The original thinker and brilliant stylist, still insufficiently known in our country, explores in them the paradox of consciousness, especially the moral consciousness of a modern person. Both works are first published in translation into Russian.
