The problem of philosophy and religion of Khayyam concerns in many quatrains and in five special treatises. It would seem that this provides quite sufficient material for judging his worldview. In fact, the question of the worldview of a wonderful scientist and poet is far from clear. The fact is that philosophical treatises largely diverge from poetic statements, and in the latter there is a discrepancy. We believe that there is no reason a priori to trust philosophical treatises more than quatrains.
