The specificity of historiography is that the interpretation of sources, as well as the very content of these sources, is due to the needs of the "we-group" in identity. As a result, narratives are created, on the basis of which "we-groups" form their collective identity as a special phenomenon of social reality, different from other groups. A typical example of this approach in Russian historiography is the concept of "Alexander Nevsky," which for several centuries has served as one of the components of the collective identity of the "we-group" "Russian people." The collection contains articles that analyze the factual, mythological, ideological components of this concept.
