"The Idiot" is a novel in which Dostoevsky for the first time with genuine passion, vividly and fully embodied the image of a positive hero as he represented it. Prince Myshkin combined the features of the image of Christ and at the same time a child, peace bordering on carelessness, and the inability to pass by the misfortune of his neighbor. In a "normal" society of people obsessed with self-interest and destructive passions, Prince Myshkin is an idiot.
