The monograph is devoted to the consideration of the ideological background of the visits organized by the Minister of Education of the Russian Empire, Count S. S. Uvarov, to his estate Porechye of representatives of the top class - university professors and members of the Academy of Sciences. It is shown how gradually, in the course of the so-called "academic conversations," a holistic strategy was developed for the official educational course of the government and joint actions of the scientific intelligentsia of Russia loyal to the state power.
