The work "History of the Ryazan Principality" in 1858 brought its author - the famous Russian historian and publicist Dmitry Ivanovich Ilovaisky - a master's degree and the Uvarov Prize of the Academy of Sciences. Starting from the first annalistic references to the emergence of the Ryazan principality, the book examines in detail the history of its formation, the main stages of its political and economic development, foreign policy and the system of relations with its immediate neighbors.
