The book "Homemade preparation of cakes, cakes, cookies, gingerbread cookies, pies" was released for the first time in 1959 with a circulation of half a million copies and, together with the "Book on tasty and healthy food," became the dream of any Soviet housewife. Indeed, despite the circulation, which is more than solid by modern standards, for a country like the USSR then it was a drop in the bucket.
