The issues of the use of elements of microprocessor technology in information and measuring devices are presented. The main stages of microprocessor measuring instruments and systems design are considered. Considerable attention is paid to the tasks of combining programs by me and hardware logic as one of the main aspects of the new approach to the design of measuring devices. Examples of specific developments of microprocessor devices and systems made with the direct participation of the authors are given and recommendations are given to overcome the difficulties encountered in the design of microprocessor measuring devices.
