The publication offered to the attention of readers includes universals, orders and instructions of Ivan Mazepa, did not fall into the first part of the order documents of this hetman, published in 2002. The first appendix of the book contains orders, documents of Ukrainian hetmans before the reign of Ivan Mazepa, the second appendix includes similar documents of general military foremen and colonels from the time of Bogdan Khmelnitsky to the time of Ivan Mazepa. The documents contain information on the socio-economic development and political situation of Ukraine in the 2nd half of the XVII - early XVIII centuries.
