A reading book consists of two parts. The first part includes material covering events from 1917 to 1945, the second - from 1945 to 1983. The small essays included in the second part of the book cover individual historical events, give a figurative idea of ​ ​ the political activities of prominent fighters for peace, democracy and social progress. The material of the book contains memorable facts that will help students deepen their knowledge of modern history, will contribute to the formation of strong communist convictions in them, education in the spirit of Soviet patriotism and proletarian internationalism.
