The book of V.F. Chervinsky, called by him "In the country of kangaroo and emu," is primarily interesting because, reading it, we see modern Australia through the eyes of an observant eyewitness who visited all states and many parts of the country and met with representatives of public and business circles, as well as various segments of the population of this far from us mainland. During his stay in the country, the author of the book sought to see as much as possible, as well as learn about the Australian experience in the development of natural resources, about the economy, technology. The book contains interesting material on these issues. Individual phenomena are described by the author without a visible logical connection, in the sequence in which they appear to the eye of an observer traveling around the country. Therefore, the presentation is in the nature of travel notes.
