The book is a significantly expanded and revised edition of 1979. This edition for the first time includes messages from ancient African authors, a number of new documents and messages from ancient and eastern authors, which, together with already known sources, make it possible to sufficiently fully present the history of Africa from ancient times to great geographical discoveries.
