The book examines in detail the events of the Soviet-Polish war of 1919-1920. Unlike the previous publications of communist historians on this topic, limited by the scope of articles by Lenin and the memoirs of the Red Army commanders of the 1920s, the author used primarily studies of Polish and Belarusian scientists unknown to the Russian-speaking audience.
