The historical and documentary study "Generalissimo" by the famous Russian writer V.V. Karpov is dedicated to I.V. Stalin - one of the most prominent figures in world history, who made a tremendous contribution to the strengthening of the USSR and the victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War. The author pays special attention to the military talent of Stalin, his activities as the Supreme Commander-in-Chief. The writer, he said, does not pretend "to be an epic canvas: this book is not a novel or a story." It is a mosaic collected from the acts of Stalin found by V.V. Karpov and other authors, well-known and little-known. The main concern of the writer is to recreate as complete an objective picture of the life of I.V. Stalin. The publication was carried out on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the birth of V.V. Karpov (1922-2010).
