Thirty-six-year-old Hope, who once dreamed of a legal profession, is forced to save from ruin the inherited family confectionery in a small town near Boston. A difficult period came in her life: her mother died, her husband left, after the divorce, relations with her teenage daughter became complicated and, to top it all, her beloved grandmother - her last support - became seriously ill, loses her memory.
