The course of the discipline "Reliability of machines and mechanisms" is presented. It is shown how, using the methods of reliability theory, it is possible to solve the issues of ensuring the reliability of construction machines, equipment and mechanisms at different stages (design, production and operation) of the life cycle of machines and mechanisms; mathematical, engineering, organizational and management aspects of machine reliability are disclosed. If necessary, examples of problem solving are given.
