Documents and materials" details the life and activities of an outstanding Russian naval commander, a hero of the Crimean War of 1853-1856, who died in the tragic days of the defense of Sevastopol. This edition is a new edition of the collection, published in 1954, significantly enriched by newly identified historical sources, as well as an extensive reference apparatus. The content of the first volume covers the period from 1802 to 1853 (before the start of the defense of Sevastopol). The second volume of the collection "P. S. Nakhimov. Documents and materials" contains materials dating back to the heroic defense of Sevastopol 1853-1855. up to the death of P. S. Nakhimov.
