This small book contains almost everything that Walter Benjamin wrote about Kafka. People who knew Benjamin had no doubt that Kafka was " his " author (like Proust and Baudelaire). Of course, the volume of writing is small, and printed during life - even less. Nevertheless, among the hundreds of texts Benjamin wrote about literature, writing about Kafka takes its own, and not an insignificant place. To fully appreciate the work done by Benjamin, both the general context and his personal situation should be taken into account. That is why the collection includes not only finished texts about Kafka, but also notes (partly embodied in these texts, partly remaining in sketches), as well as letters.
