The basic concepts and laws of chemistry are presented, modern ideas about the structure of the atom and the nature of chemical bonding, thermodynamic and kinetic aspects of the course of chemical reactions are considered. Due attention is paid to the periodic law of D. I. Mendeleev, the physicochemical theory of solutions, redox reactions and electrochemical processes. The significance of chemical interactions for processes occurring in living and plant organisms used in production and technology is shown.
