VHF opens up a wide field of activity for amateur radio operators. There are still many hidden possibilities in this relatively new and rapidly growing radio engineering industry. For example, until recently, it was believed that the radio range on VHF is mainly limited by line-of-sight limits. However, at present, due to the special conditions for the propagation of radio waves at frequencies of 38-40 MHz and 144 MHz at a distance of more than 1000 km, they are no longer records, but have entered the daily practice of radio amateurs.
