The book is dedicated to the study of the surprisingly rich and diverse marine coastal fauna of South Vietnam. Most of the studies were performed in the waters of Nha Trang Bay. The book includes 8 chapters devoted to different groups of marine invertebrates: scleractinium corals, sipunculids, barnacles, stomatopods, shrimp pontoniines, crabs of the families Domeciidae, Trapeziidae, Tetraliidae, Xanthidae (Cymoinae), Calappidae and sponges.
