The book provides a detailed description of air-to-ground ballistic missiles (BRVZ). For the first time, systematized data on the development of BRVZ in the USSR, the USA and other countries are given. It also describes projects for deploying ballistic missiles on modernized civilian (Tu-144, Douglas DC-10), transport (An-22, An-124, Lockheed C-5A, Boeing-747) aircraft, strategic bombers (Tu-160, V-52) and aircraft of other classes. The reasons for the long ban on the creation and testing of BRVZ are analyzed. The feasibility of deploying work on this qualitatively new type of mobile basing of ballistic missiles is justified. A proposal is being put forward to create a low-vulnerability missile system with intercontinental-range BRVZ based on a specialized aircraft carrier with high readiness for take-off and high launch thrust-to-weight ratio.
