The Second World War is deservedly called the "Motor War," bearing in mind the main role of tanks and aviation, but often forgetting that vehicles made a slightly smaller contribution to the victory. So, the Wehrmacht's successes in the summer of 1941 are not in the final turn explained by the overwhelming advantages in the number and quality of vehicles. The Soviet administration properly learned a good lesson, having done everything possible in order to increase the production of Russian cars. The supply of road transport under Lend-Lease also played an invaluable role in increasing the combat effectiveness of our troops.
