The work presented to your attention opens a new page in a generalizing study of the history of art of Tatarstan. Her appearance was preceded by a series of monographic studies, chapters in several collective monographs, as well as about a hundred articles published in various scientific collections and journals. In addition, materials from recent archaeological research are involved, including excavations of the so-called Salta or Salta-Mayak culture.
