The first and largely unique edition of the famous monograph, which immediately became a first-class textbook on functional analysis. In particular, in this book, for the first time in Russian, the foundations of the theory of topological vector spaces were outlined (the corresponding chapter "Linear topological spaces" was written by Gleb Pavlovich Akilov), in subsequent editions this material was only partially presented.
