The dictionary contains a description of the vocabulary of modern Russian colloquial speech. The dictionary is experimental in nature and, unlike most academic explanatory dictionaries, is not normative. The task of the compilers was to fully reflect in the dictionary form the semantic, grammatical, compatibility, stylistic properties of lexico-phraseological means used in modern everyday speech, as well as the peculiarities of their use in different situations of informal, previously not prepared spontaneous communication. The material for the dictionary was recordings of oral Russian speech in the second half of the 20th-beginning of the 21st century, modern fiction, journalism, the press, television and radio programs, screenplays, various genres of Internet communication (blogs, forums, chats, etc.).
