The journal is closely associated with the Forum f? r osteurop? ische Ideen- und Zeitgeschichte, published since 1997. The Forum, published by the Department of Contemporary History of Central and Eastern Europe of the Catholic University of Eichstätt (Germany) together with the Institute of Eastern European Studies, is primarily engaged in scientific analysis of the communist past of Eastern European countries.
