The tutorial contains information and recommendations for the design of power drives for technical installations widely used in industrial and agricultural production, illustrated by a sufficient number of examples. Methods of calculation of electric drives considering design peculiarities of mechanisms and specificity of their process operation modes are given. Static and dynamic properties of electric drives, methods of their regulation, data on promising directions of development of electric drive control system are described in order to find optimal version of electric drive control.
